ACC’s CoverPlus Extra

What is CoverPlus Extra?

CoverPlus Extra has been developed by ACC to provide another accident cover option to its default scheme “Cover Plus”, it lets self-employed people and non PAYE shareholder employees negotiate a pre-agreed level of lost earnings accident cover. This option provides business owners more certainty at claim time, knowing exactly how much they’ll receive if their injured and can’t work. Note You’re also covered under this scheme if the injury is not work-related.

Who can apply?

  • All self-employed and non –PAYE shareholder-employees who work 30 hours or more per week.
  • Part-time workers whose earnings exceed ACC’s CoverPlus Extra minimum (This is reviewed by ACC annually and can change). Visit www.acc.co.nz/cpx for more information.
